About Me.

It all started a long time ago. When I was growing up in Ireland I got involved with photography , or should I say photography got involved with me. First as an assistant for a commercial studio in Belfast where I learned everything from the beginning, Black & White, colour darkroom to studio and reportage photography then later at the College of Art & Design in Belfast then in London.

It’s been my life ever since. It’s taken me all over the world and has introduced me to so many different people and ways of life it’s been and continues to be an incredibly rewarding experience.

So How did I end up shooting Château weddings in France?

In the early 2000’s, it was clear that the world of photography was going digital and there were going to be changes. More importantly though, new opportunities.

While on holiday in France with the kids, Ali and I hit upon a plan. Why not start a new adventure in another country?

At the time our kids, Hamish and Freya were young enough to to move, so in 2005 we moved to South West France.

It’s been an adventure, both kids are grown up now, living in and loving France.
